Subjective economic well-being in Slovenia is analyzed using household budget surveys from 1988, 1993, and 1997-99. These surveys also included a question requiring self-rating of the "sufficiency" of the actual household disposable income. We find that subjective economic well-being is highly influenced by actual household income, household size, household composition, and household assets. The robustness of our findings is noteworthy considering that large social and economic changes occurred in this period of time.URL
